Between my growing family, my triathlon and on- and off-road racing hobby, and my work at software product companies, I have limited time for entrepreneurial ventures (though I am always interested in hearing about yours!).

So why this vanity website?

For several years now I have been a Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect focused on innovative entrepreneurial organizations looking for international coverage based in Washington DC. To present myself, I decided to tie together my professional activities into one website; something more than LinkedIn. Something more than saying, "I have federal and private sector experience supporting sales of enterprise software applications" or spewing keywords to represent my experiences, like Java, XML, PHP, MySQL, Oracle, HTML, JavaScript . . . you get the idea. I wanted to show how I think and what I do.

As a programmer who became an analyst and who now applies his skills as a Sales Engineer, I have been a professional techie for over a decade. For longer than that I have been involved in small start-ups as well as well-established organizations and can tell you that I like them both . . . really.

I am Citizen Josh. I aim to be at the nexus of business and technology. I have personality bifurcated between professional and playful.

I live in D.C., travel internationally, and like to work from coffee shops.
